Services
The coaching is designed to be as fun as possible, develop technical ability and cater for the needs of every child. At first I thought golf was for old people now I come every week because I have so much fun and have made lots of new friends! The course is amazing and everybody dressed up for Halloween it was great.
Our course has always been maintained to a high standard, its often the main reasons why our members join and our visitors return time after time. The club continues to invest into the development of the course but always ensuring it offers a fair test of golf for all ages and abilities. The flyovers were created a number of years ago so we ask you to kindly acknowledge that they do not fully reflect the course layout as we see it today.
Great Barr Golf Club is a private members club run by the members for the benefit of all. We offer membership categories to suit all ages and abilities. The Club offers a full programme of competitions, matches and social calendar designed to engender an all inclusive friendly atmosphere for all members.
As a playing member, you will be able to participate in our many handicap competitions. But there are also ample non qualifying competitions held throughout the year if you wish to play for fun. We enter teams in the Scratch League and West Midlands League, as well as regular B Team fixtures against other local clubs.
We play on a Wednesday morning, on an informal basis with our competitions being predominantly played on Sundays. So for new members there are plenty of opportunities to play and make new friends either on the course or at our many social events. We enter teams into both the Scratch and Inter Club competitions, but also play friendly matches throughout the year which we encourage all our ladies, regardless of handicap, to participate in.

We recently had our wedding reception here and can't recommend it enough! Staff both leading up to our wedding and on the day/night were superb, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Everybody… commented on the food which was amazing, made to such a high quality and tasted delicious. The room we hired was modern and spacious with beautiful views across the golf course, we're so happy we chose here. Thank you! 😊

I would just like to thank the catering and bar staff for there outstanding work at my son and new daughter in laws wedding reception on 4/9/21. Your attention to detail was second to none you all did a fantastic job, very well done. If you are thinking of hiring this venue for your occasion I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

Visited the club recently and have to say the course is fantastic, a little challenging but magnificently kept and cared for, a credit to the green keepers. However when we finished the 18th hole we headed to the clubhouse, and was met by two elderly gentlemen who shouted at us like we were naughty school kids because we walked across the grassed… area and not on the footpath. We apologised and pointed out it was our first time at the club. The 4 ball behind us also were met with a tirade of abuse from the two elderly gents, because they too walked across the grassed area and not on the

We played the course today and must say it was an absolute treat. The course was absolutely immaculate, from tee to green, beautifully manicured. Some wonderful golf holes and the greens were fast and true. A… credit to the green staff 👏👏👏 We had a beer on the patio afterwards and the staff were excellent, prompt and attentive. We'll definitely be back.
