Services
Founded in 1906 Halesowen Golf Club welcomes individuals, societies and corporate clients to it's Grade I listed clubhouse, that was once home to the famous 18th century poet William Shenstone. Sweeping across 58 hectares, the course forms the central core of Leasowes Parkland, listed Grade I on English Heritage's Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
We aim to be a friendly welcoming and inclusive club that respects the traditions of the game, while endeavouring to move forward and make any changes that the members want. We have a longstanding group of members, but I particularly want new members to feel welcome and to quickly become a part of the fabric of the club and to enjoy both their golf and the social events that the club puts on through the year.
The Halesowen Golf Club Seniors section was formed in 1979 when the Directors of the club gave permission to form the section. Membership of the section is open to Halesowen Golf Club members with a minimum age of 55 years.
Members meet each Tuesday morning, teeing off at 9am, normally playing the 10 holes round the clubhouse using a Seniors Score Card specifically designed for the holes, and a Seniors handicap which, initially reflecting the members club handicap, is adjusted according to playing scores.Individual Medal or Stableford competitions are normally played, however Alliance and Team competitions are also held.

Many young golfers have progressed well at the club since joining by improving their game and thus lowered their handicap, by entering and wining competitions. Halesowen Golf Club provides the perfect supportive environment to nurture young golfers, so they can achieve their potential, whether they are looking to develop into amateurs or wish to excel in their chosen sport.
Our clubhouse is an ideal venue for couples, groups or a larger party to enjoy good food in an idyllic location with views across the golf course, Leasowes park and the Worcestershire countryside.

Visited the club in late September, food was excellent, served by friendly staff. Enjoyed the course. Visited the pro-shop and bought a Proquip jacket from Paul Johnson the pro. Unfortunately it developed a fault however Paul has been excellent in sourcing a replacement and sending it to me in Kent. Thank you, we will return!

Played it for the first time recently. It is a really lovely looking course very well maintained. However I didn't really enjoy it as much as I should. Several reasons for this. Firstly it is an odd combination of really easy holes and really difficult holes. Also it seems in parts to be squashed in on itself with several holes crossing each other. In addition part of the course is built on common land which means non golfers wandering about seemingly oblivious to golf balls flying around. Situated in a built up area the traffic noise is quite loud at one end of the course. Then there are the hills

Husband is a relatively new member & its first opportunity we've had to go for lunch since the clubhouse re-opened. I loved it. Great selection of lunch time food including hot & cold sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes with fillings, toasties as well as full meals. Great prices & the most pleasant terrace on which to sit & admire the views. The best thing of all was how everyone was so friendly. Every person we came in contact with spoke to us. Lovely place, cant wait to return!
