Services
Rise & Shine Nursery is owned by local parents wishing to create an outstanding provision for all children living in the local area. As well as being parents, we also come with firm knowledge and experience of managing and delivering childcare. Since 2000 we have been successfully running and managing childrens day nurseries and After School and Holiday Clubs locally and nationally.
From when you and your child first join our Rise & Shine family you will find that we are warm and welcoming and keen to get to know you. Partnerships between parents, children and members of staff are naturally built up whilst your child develops with us and we welcome your involvement at any time.
We offer a combined provision of care and learning which supports children grow confidently. Through creating an inquisitive environment, building self-confidence, developing emotional and social skills, we believe children will grow positively. Carefully select resources and equipment which through play, exploration, discovery and learning.
Our focus is to provide the highest standard of childcare, designed around the individual needs of the children and the whole family. This will be achieved through the wealth of knowledge, skills and experience of our team along with the inspiring environment. Our open plan rooms are full of light and space.
All three year olds are entitled to 15 hours free places per week. The entitlement starts from the term following their 3rd Birthday. We also take 2 year funded places, which are available now, so if you are in receipt of benefits please come and talk to our Nursery Manger or Team Leader to find out if your child is entitled to a free placement.

My daughter loves attending Rise & Shine. The staff are lovely and considerate whilst being firm and attentive to the needs of the children.
Great range of learning resources and toys and I think it’s great they involve the parents with their child’s book reading mornings and learning sessions.
The only criticism I have is outside shoes being worn all over the carpet area where the children sit for story time, would be good to make them take off their shoes/wear plimsoles in that area.
Overall a great, caring & supportive nursery where you can see that the staff love what they do and wonderful

My son has been attending rise and shine since he was a toddler at 24months. Not only have the nursery supported my child's transition out of nappies within 2weeks of him joining, they have made the move to the pre-school room just as smooth and they continue to support the transition he will be making to reception. My son has such an attachment to the staff that he often gets teary during the holiday as he misses being at the nursery. My son has caught several viruses along the way however the doctor says its normal for children that age attending nursery.

My daughter has now been at reception for over 9 months, she still after 9 months of finishing at rise and shine, incredibly misses being there. The staff were highly trained and had an amazing way of engaging with my daughter, I was extremely pleased with how quickly she progressed and developed around numeracy/ literacy which put her in good stead for reception. I would whole heartedly recommend Rise and shine as an excellent place to send your little children, rest assured, your children will be looked after and cared for in a professional manner.

My son has been attending this nursery for nearly a year now. at first i was worried as he is young whether he will adjust or not but never had a problem. it took him two days to settle in, i loved the way there strategy was to get a child to adjust. He loves attending his nursery because of the environment that is created for him and ESPECIALLY because of the staff. He is so attached to them and speaks so highly of them. As a parent to see your child this happy attending nursery is a relief and reassurance that rise and shine are definently doing something right. Thank you all your help and support
