We have a relaxing guest lounge where you may sit and watch television or read a book in peaceful surroundings. There is also a cosy cellar bar and decked patio area for guest use where you may enjoy a relaxing drink. The bar also has a television, board games, playing cards and a dartboard for guest use.

The Sandpiper Guest House is located in a peaceful tree-lined cul-de-sac on Rowdens Road, Torquay. Rowdens Road itself is level but the surrounding roads can be quite steep. We have good access to local shops and amenities. Torquay Railway Station, the seafront, Torre Abbey & Gardens can be walked to within ten minutes.

Me and my wife just stayed three nights over the weekend and had a brill time, the location is good with it being a 5 minute walk from the sea front and center of Torquay but yet it was really quiet at night. The new owners did a good job of making us feel really welcome and the breakfast was spot on. I'd definitely recommend staying at the Sandpiper.

This was a second visit to the Sandpiper but sadly not a great experience. On arrival, we waited 10 mins for anyone to greet us and then only got inside when other guests left. When the proprietor finally met us his first question was how had we got in and we could have been anyone! Not a particularly good welcome! And if he had answered the door, he would have known who we were- note, the bell system doesn’t work! We were also chastised for leaving our car in front of his even though he advised us to leave it there. If you want us to move the car, then try speaking to us. Torquay is a place
