The Elmdene is Visit England 5 star gold rated accommodation and has received a bed and breakfast award here at our beautiful guesthouse. We take pride in offering all our guests a high standard of pristine accommodation and have been awarded certificates of excellence for 2018, 2019 and 2020 from Trip Advisor and we were awarded 2020 Travellers award.

The Elmdene is perfectly situated to explore the English Riviera and its surroundings. We have a bus stop 50 metres from the front of the building and are on a level, just 300 metres from Torquays beach and railway station, and 250 metres from the Riviera conference centre, and also just a short walk from Torquay town centre, theatre and harbour.

Amazing quiet, super clean hotel with amazing breakfast options. The bed was super comfy and we stayed in the deluxe double room which was superb. The hosts couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a perfect stay

This delightful B&B is most definitely the place to stay to enjoy a great location and all the comforts of home. Kim and Trevor are the perfect hosts, with their warmest of greetings on arrival and their constant friendliness throughout our stay. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach through the beautiful grounds surrounding Torre Abbey and found a good variety of places to eat in the evenings. We recommend that you will not be disappointed and have already booked our stay for next year.

This is the best bed and breakfast hotel I have stayed in... No exaggeration. Spotlessly clean. Trevor and Kim were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We came home one evening to home made scones, jam and cream on the table. What a lovely gesture.
