My wife and I have been using London & Country Limited for the last two years renting in London, and we are beyond thrilled with their service and assistance. From the first day that we looked at properties (which anyone looking in London knows can be full of pitfalls) to today, we have only been provided with excellent service and an eagerness to help whenever we had any queries or any problems with the property. This has got to be the worst estate agent in the whole of London, staff are rude especially Julie, doesn't like to be told she's in the wrong and is just useless at her job, also don't know the law about entering a property, and it's impossible to speak to the manager because he's always away from the office. When you try to arrange a meeting with him. He's always busy. ( I call it hiding ) They think they have the right to enter the property without your permission. And don't get me started on the trouble you have if you need a repair done.

I have never had a problem with agents until I came across London and country. This is perfectly exemplified by the fact that when we disputed our deposit claim the “deposit protection scheme” awarded me £1000 of my deposit back.
I was also very confused by the fact that London and Country wanted to charge us for gas bills for when we weren’t even in the property. British Gas and I agreed and yet the agents continued to request further money from us.
Extremely greedy agents with poor communication skills so I was very upset with my experience with them.

In a response to a previous review they say the DPS rewarded them 90% of my deposit. This is untrue. I was awarded 100% of my deposit back by the DPS and have the emails to prove it should anyone wish message me. Also, their “untarnished reputation” is 2.5 stars out of 5.
Mobeen, who works there, begged British Gas on the phone in front of us to say we owed the bills but the company, rightly, stated they were the landlords. It was almost comical.
Julie, who is nothing short of rude, should treat young people how she wishes for her own son/daughters to be treated.

I never had a problem with a landlord, but this time I have been extremely disappointed. When we ended our tenancy, they asked us an absurdly high amount that was 2x higher than our deposit for a cleaning fee of £700 (claiming that this is the average cost of an end of tenancy cleaning, which is absolutely not), a crazy cost for repainting (which there was no need to and they did it without any prior notice), and claiming random missing objects. Furthermore, they changed the cost of these items they claim multiple times, proving that they just want to get as much money as possible from our deposit

Another agent that tries to take as much money from renters as they can. We were given bills the landlord owed BEFORE our tenancy and, even after a call to British Gas with the agency present and them embarrassing themselves being told we didn’t owe anything, they told us if we didn’t pay the landlord’s costs we would be evicted. Needlesstosay we didn’t. Avoid.
