I hope that you will find it useful. It will give you information about our Catholic school family, its expectations, achievements and vision for the future. Our school motto is the beautiful phrase spoken by Archbishop Oscar Romero, 'Aspire not to have more, but to be more' and this underpins every part of our school life.
Holy Trinity, as a school community, has faithfully served the parish of Bilston since 1834. The original school building still stands next to Holy Trinity Church, and our school has been housed on three sites in the many decades since we first opened our doors. We moved to Queen Street in the early 1900s where we remained until the mid-1990s, when the new building in Fraser Street was opened.
You are God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Holy Trinity Catholic School was founded by and is part of the Catholic Church. This means our school life reflects the canon law and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and is in accordance with the Trust Deed of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
Our children learn how to put these into practice in the service of themselves, the Church and society. As a Catholic school family, we desire to follow the teachings of the Gospel revealed through the Church. We look to scripture for revelation from God, which will guide us in the way he wants us to live.
The Governing Body works closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and all the staff. This is to help ensure that the children at our school, inspired by Christ and teaching, achieve their full potential as we all live out our school motto 'to aspire to be more not have more'.
