About Us Report

The Kennington Tandoori first opened in 1985. Since then we've enjoyed a reputation for authentic food and real traditions combined with a warm welcome and friendly service. Today we still pride ourselves on the same values of Good Food, Good People and Good Service, but with the added spice of a stylish new interior.

Private Dinning Report

It's said that discretion is the better part of valour, which might partly explain Westminster's long patronage of KT. Certainly, our service has always been attentive but never intrusive. But now our private dining room takes intimacy even further, whether you want a private dinner party or a business meeting.

Restaurant Report

KT prides itself on taking modern Indian cooking to a new level. That's why all our spices are roasted and ground in our kitchen and our stocks are prepared daily, with four variations rather than the normal one-stock pot of most Indian restaurants. It's why our menu remains true to classic seasonal recipes but also why we might occasionally give winter a lift by putting on a summer dish.

Really great festive menu and service! Great okra, samosas, and paneer with vegetables. The chicken tikka masala was also very good (although slightly on the sweet side). Also enjoyed the sides and kulfi. We will definitely be back soon!

Dont trust ordering for deliverooo. ordered at 3:50 on a Sunday and it said it would take half an hour. After 2 hours the order time hadn't updated and when I tried to contact them the staff hung up on me and couldn't provide any time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We ordered through their web and one of the dishes never arrived. We were told we would get two free starters as compensation in our next order, which sounded reasonable ("don't worry, we will make a note in the system", they said). Next time we called for an order we were told they didn't know what were we talking about, and our free starters were never honoured.

Avoid. Terrible delivery time, almost two hours and hung up phone repeatedly - food good but delivery ludicrous. Don’t take orders as per any reputable restaurant if you can’t deliver locally in a reasonable time frame, they don’t use Ubers riders and opt to do themselves but can’t perform. Coriander Vauxhall all together better. Avoid.

The food is always on time and hot and of course delicious. I visited the restaurant for the first time last night and was very impressed. The restaurant is spotless. Not a bit of dust anywhere. I’ve never seen a restaurant so clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. recommend

I had onion bhajis and King Prawn Bhuna. I have had takeaways for the past 2 years and this is the first time visiting the restaurant. Very good food and great service. Would definitely make a regular return.

Great manager, great dishes, small but comfortable. Do not seat ilst the table close to the front door as it can get noisy. I would definitely recommend this place since they do have a great variety, fantastic flavors (try the coconut naan!) and nice service from the waiters!

OUTRAGEOUS! I'VE JUST HAD TO CALL KT HOME DINING AFTER PUTTING IN A DELIVERY ORDER, AS I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES BEFORE, AND THEY SAY THEY CAN'T DELIVER BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T GOT A DRIVER! I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED AND AN E-MAIL TO CONFIRM THAT PLEASE! ALL I WAS OFFERED IN RECOMPENSE WAS SOME FREE POPPADUMS!!! THIS IS A VERY SHABBY WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS AND AN OUTRAGEOUS WAY TO TREAT A LONG STANDING GOOD CUSTOMER!! I'M NEVER COMING BACK TO KT HOME DINING.

Absolutely spot in meal.... Had the mixed starter which I would definitely recommend. Full advisor biryani which came with a pastry top! The lamb was very tender and the doll was not too hot. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.
Also do very good non alcoholic drink KT Thirst Quencher.

Nice, clean looking, Indian restaurant with good menu choices. Many waiters providing indifferent table service. Quality of food was good and reasonable portion size. The claret was quaffable. No complimentary WiFi available. Minimum charge of £20 per person. Gratuities added to bill.

Opened our takeaway tonight and before even tasting I knew that they are making more effort and are changing things. Food delivered very hot and fresh, tasted great and will be ordering more frequently as long as the quality stays this way. Well done guys! (And glad I didn’t have to use deliveroo - so many mistakes.)
