The Waterside Restaurant in Inverness is the perfect setting for enjoying a relaxed dining experience with friends, family or colleagues with a breath-taking view of the River Ness, any day of the week.

Face coverings remain mandatory in all hospitality settings when you are not seated at your table or in your bedroom. However, we are now in the busy summer season, so we would advise you to avoid disappointment.

The service was hostile, awkward, and slow. It took over 2 hours to serve a basic 3-course lunch. When I raised this issue with the manager he said - and I kid you not - "2 hours seems to be very standard." Wow!?! So if you're thinking of eating here you'd better allocate plenty of time. And then there's the food... it barely rose above the level of a school canteen. Maybe the staff were having a bad day (they certainly didn't appear to be enjoying their work) but all-in-all, I felt like I'd been ripped off. This definitely wasn't worth £69 per-person. Never again.

We have just had a lovely evening meal, in the Waterside Restaurant. Staff were excellent, menu selection was good, highly recommend the cheese board, a well balanced selection of cheeses.

So lovely 💖, cosy and clean.
Staff is helpful and nice, food is lovely, very tasty and wonderful presented.
We were only visiting Highlands and dining in for my husbands 40th birthday, but if we come back this will be for sure the place where we are going to revisit. Thank you!!!

The food was good but they were clearly short of (experienced) staff. Confused our orders and forgot one person's altogether. On a quieter night with a smaller group it probably be better.

This is a beautiful restaurant on the riverside. I went there for a solo dinner and found the service good. The good was quite tasty, a tad overpriced, but tasty overall. There was literally only 1 option for a vegetarian main and starter, so I found that quite limiting. Although the place seems great, I wouldn't recommend it for vegetarians.

Poor service. Waited 10 minutes to be seated. Eventually another customer alerted the staff to our presence told to take a seat and someone would take our order. No- one arrived so left and took our business elsewhere.

Really poor service - we had to wait a huge amount of time for our food to arrive. Then the “starters” arrived after the mains!
Food was not as hot as it should have been, although tasty enough.
Not a very friendly welcome, but waiting staff very friendly.
Nice location.

Food was fantastic but service was poor. Only received part of our order, after 50 minutes asked wait staff about the remainder, they soon brought most of the remainder of the order but forgot one of the cheese plates.
It's confounding how this could happen as dinners order online and so their system clearly knows what food must be produced for each table.
