Services
As a photo is required for your licence the DVLA can use your passport photo if you have one. If you don't have one, or you want to use a different one, this will need to be sent to the DVLA separately. You can find costs for all licence types here. Before you start the hazard perception part of the test, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works before being shown a series of video clips on a computer screen.
Unfortuantely, statistics show that new drivers of any age are more likely to have a collission within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. While this is really just down to a lack of experience insurance premiums merely reflect the increased risk.
On your first lesson, you will need to print and produce your licence information. Use this link to get the appropriate information required by your instructor for your first lesson. Official site for tips and advice for learners and qualified driver alike to help you be a Safe Driver For Life. Road Respect is about making the roads safer in North East England.

Critical: Professionalism
Refused to take on a dyslexic student. Did not even try to teach her. Absolutely appalling and discriminatory.

I thought Helen was a great driving instructor and a natural teacher. I am not the easiest person to teach and Helen worked with me and listened carefully when I explained how best to get through to me.
I came to Helen with very low expectations of passing my test, having recently had a big confidence dip but in very short order she had my driving in a much better place and built me up - passed first time and I genuinely believe I owe that to Helen. Whilst getting me ready to focus on my test we also found time to put extra work into smooth, comfortable driving as I drive someone with back/hip
