Building on 'Every Child Matters' (DfES 2004), we recognise that children are our future and we are forming the foundations for their future happiness. At Brock House we appreciate that every child is individual, and by working in partnership with parents we hope to give children hope, enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding, confidence, self-respect, positive relationships, kindness and consideration for others, tolerance, and a zest for living.

Brock House day nursery is privately owned which offers high quality care alongside educational learning through play. We cater for babies as young as 4 months up to 5 years. We aim to provide a homely, stimulating, nurturing, happy environment, allowing children to feel safe and confident and able to reach their maximum potential.
Services
Our Ducklings Room caters for our children aged between 4 months and 2 years, the room has linked bathroom facilities and acccess to the outside play area. In addition there is a separate sleep room; babies sleep according to their own personal routines and within the main kitchen there is a milk kitchen area, where fresh feeds can be prepared as required.
Our Ducks Room caters for our children aged 2-3 years, the room has easily accesible bathroom facilities and doors into the outside play area, allowing for free-flow into the garden. In addition, our 'Rainbow Room' is situated within this area. The Rainbow Room is our toddler sleep room that allows children to rest in a quieter space.
In the Swans room cloakroom area there is a self registration board; our children located their picture of themselves on the board and chose a peg for their coat and bag to hung on for that session, at the end of the session they obtain their belongings and replace their picture on the self registration board in readiness for next time.
Here at Brock House Day Nursery we believe learning within the outdoor environment is an important aspect in children's early years. Offering them the opportunity and experience of forest school is a beneficial way of doing this. Within our staff team we are fortunate enough to have a qualified forest school leader and several Forest school assistants.
When children arrive for their session, they are welcomed by a member of staff, in most cases this is their key worker. The key worker system enables the children to feel secure and to develop positive relationships, which in turn encourages learning and development. Throughout the daily routine children are given opportunities to rest or sleep as required with parental guidance.
