Dan has been in the industry for 15 years. Graduating from Salford with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Acoustics; Dan has always had an obsessive interest in sound research and acoustics. CSG Acoustics is a client focused and forward thinking Acoustic Engineering and Consultancy Service. With experience in high-end residential/commercial development, acoustic design, plant engineering, building acoustics and planning law in the UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
Services
CSG Acoustics has worldwide experience in planning assessments and EIA in a wide range of sectors, including residential, educational, commercial and industrial. Advanced computer modeling techniques allow accurate and specific noise control techniques to be employed or faade incident noise levels to be predicted.
In recent years, changes to national planning policy has made it difficult to interpret local noise planning policy. We pride ourselves in negotiating this process with a commercial, client focussed approach to ensure reasonable and beneficial noise criteria are secured.
With a solid foundation in acoustical theory and access to the most modern noise modelling software, the team are able to approach planning problems from numerous angles; with securing planning permission being the ultimate goal.If you or your client is after a noise planning report, contact a member of our team today for a quote.

Noise modelling of plant noise enables the client / local authority a visual representation of noise propagation across a development site. Although not suitable for all sites, a noise model can help target the source of noise and allows a re-iterative noise control design without re-design fees. At the outset of the project, we will discuss the usefulness of a noise model with the design team.
Residential sound insulation requirements are controlled via building regulations, and specifically the requirements of Approved Document E. However, there is a raft of different types of developments that require design criteria and performance specifications that are beyond the scope of the Building Regulations.
With unrivalled experience in the design and supply of noise control products; some say CSGA have an unfair advantage when tackling plant noise assessments. Our understanding of mechanical systems and the associated noise control methods allows us to solve problems with innovative real world solutions.
