Villa Dino is a well-established, family run, Italian Restaurant. Opened by Dino and Biagio (his father) in 1984, it is their third restaurant having spent many successful years at their other restaurants Dino's Conca D'oro in Cardiff and The Conca D'oro in Newport's John Frost Square.
The Gulotta family moved to, and settled in the UK in the 1960s after Biagio spent several years working all over Europe honing his catering skills in restaurants and hotels.These skills were passed onto Dino at a young age and thus began his desire to one day own his own restaurant. The Gulotta family helped introduce true Italian cuisine to Newport by opening its first Italian restaurant, The Conca D'oro.

Fabulous meal as expected. We’ve been here several times and it is always excellent. Service low key and attentive, they get the balance just right. Had the prawn cocktail, which husband thought was a bit faffy… as it had rocket and onion in it. I tried to explain we’re not still in the 70s! I had the mozerella salad, followed by steak and carbonara, my usual desert of tiramisu, always a winner and husband had the roulade. Brilliant birthday dinner.

My partner and I came here and honestly had the best meal that we have eaten in so long. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The garlic bread is out of this world and the biscoff… cheesecake was he best dessert I’ve ever had. Our waitress/“resident photographer” Ashley or Asher (sorry didn’t catch the full name) was fantastic, funny and accommodating. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

Staff so friendly, felt really safe with social distancing and sanitising in place. The food was utterly delicious (caprese salad, garlic bread with mozzarella, penne carbonara, chicken with mushrooms and… Stilton and the best cheesecake ever... Biscoff!) was a lovely way to celebrate our anniversary, our first visit too, we will be back!
