Services
Bristol Blue Glass Limited (trading as The Original Bristol Blue Glass) was started back in 1988 by James Adlington, with the help of glass maker Peter St Clair. The aim was to re-establish a glassmaking tradition in Bristol that had been lost for over 60 years. At this time a lot of the traditional English glassmaking techniques were in severe danger of being lost forever.
If you are located in or around the Bristol area you can pick up your order free of charge by selecting the "Pick up" option at checkout. Once your order is ready we will have it waiting for you here to collect at our Bristol HQ and will contact you to arrange pick up.

A superb array of the finest blue glass wine, beer and spirit glasses - all expertly handmade with love, care and attention. The Bristol blue wine glasses are firm favourites with customers, but whatever your tipple we have the perfect glass for you. If you simply want to do some shots in style then we have that covered too with the blue firing glass.
Shop this fabulous range of blue glass decanters which are all made by hand in Bristol, bespoke to order. Each one starts from molten cobalt glass which is blown and shaped into the various styles you see here. The range of blue decanters includes the very distinctive ships decanter as well as bell decanters and the blue glass wine decanter.

I was one of many, many, many people to order a pumpkin off the back of the BBC piece on ‘original Bristol Blue Glass’. It must have been a Herculean task to fill the crazy amounts ordered… but, mine arrived- it is beautiful, certainly not rushed. I couldn’t be happier! Can’t wait to head to the shop in person…

My 3 daughters brought me here as a birthday present today. All 4 of us had the opportunity to make very different baubles for Christmas.
The guys were so enthusiastic and informative. It has been an incredible experience. I loved every second we were there. Great laugh as well as giving me the confidence to have a go.
I wish them all the best for their futures, as well as all the front of house, and mother owner (?).

We went as an extended family of 6 to all blow baubles. It was a fantastic fun morning, really interesting to learn about how to blow glass and its properties. We came away with 6 beautiful and individual baubles. Alex and Harry made it fun and interesting for all. Also enjoyed by watching grandparents. Thank you all.

Went in by chance today. Lady in the shop very pleasant, not pushy, just let me have a good look round. Massive range of glass of every description. Was offered the chance to see the guys in the workshop blowing glass. Fascinating, only too pleased to answer questions. Great experience. Ended up buying an owl. Made my day!
