Our Mediterranean restaurant is set just south of Greenwich Park in Blackheath village. We invite London's lovers of sociable and sunkissed Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails to pay a visit to a unique restaurant along Montpelier Vale, decorated in the style of a Romani vardo, to relax and unwind with beautifully presented dishes from all four corners of the Mediterranean.
Our tapas are ideal for sharing and perfect as an accompaniment to drinks and our hand-crafted cocktails, while our homemade pizzas are a firm family favourite in London's Blackheath. Our pride and joy is the traditional charcoal grill that we built ourselves and that we use to prepare mouthwatering grilled fish and meat dishes.

We went to Tziganos last Sunday eve and the wonderful staff who looked after us and the service we received, warrant our feedback. Pepe was attentive, warm and such a lovely host. Antonio was also very ,very attentive and looked after us well. Greta is the best cocktail maker too!! We had so many El Diablos...superb service. Just superb!

Wine was nice - but food was pretty poor quality, food read well on the menu but we got 50 shades of beige. - didn’t feel like tapas at all, and felt over priced for what it was…and service was pretty lack lustre - really felt like the waitress(s) didn’t want to be there. The room at the back smells like damp. The list goes on! Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

A group of us did a wine pairing with tapas and a selection of Portuguese wines. None of us in our party are that knowledgeable about this region so it was great to try something different and step outside our wine comfort zone.
As for the food, each dish tasted as good as it looked and eating a number of smaller plates rather than starter, main, desert, makes it a much more sociable evening.
Tony was the consumate host, explaining each dish as it was served.
Friendly atmosphere, great food, fab wine, I can only give this 5 stars!

We visited Tziganos for some nice tapas in Blackheath and I would say that it was very good, not excellent. The restaurant is comfortable and traditional looking. There is a good selection of dishes, we went for the prawns, potato bravas, lamb skewers, meatballs and ham. The lamb skewers were the highlight. The portion sizes were very good and we certainly didn’t leave hungry. I would recommend a visit.

It's lovely and cosy inside Tzigano's. We were happy before we ate a single morsel. The menu itself was a rewarding read, prepared with detailed effort and different inks for different types of food. There was a fabulous set menu with a wine list focussed on flavour types rather than red or white nestling in with the food. There was a 'hand written' write up about how Tzigano's is Italian for wandering gypsies the two chefs who set out on their own to supply us with authentic Mediterranean dishes in authentic surroundings.

Tziganos is a "Mediterranean" restaurant with a Madrid style tapas bar feel. We went there for dinner on a Saturday night, and were promptly seated and given a basket of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
The menu had a selection of tapas, including classics like patatas bravas and tortilla, and a selection of mains from the grill as well as pizzas, pastas and burgers.
We ordered a couple of tapas plates as starters, and a dish each from the mains. The food was of good quality and prepared well. The portion sizes from the grill weren't as big as I'd have liked, but

Blackheath is lucky to have this place. A real find.
A varied menu of predominantly Italian style "tapas" and great Italian mains.
We had chicken satay with super tender chicken and a spicy satay sauce (not the usual peanut butter style), fried courgettes "matches" that stood to attention, fluffy in a light grease free batter, seafood in a creamy sambucca sauce, and the simplest but perhaps best dish, plump spring onions wrapped in bacon.
Mains - super tasty lasagne. Light but satisfying. Linguini and clam sauce. Again oil free - the chef used the whites of the courgettes
