Local Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 serving near Gosforth, Jesmond NE2, Fenham NE4, Westerhope NE5 & Benton NE7. Shahe restaurant is located on Wansbeck Road South in Newcastle. Good food is delivered straight to your door when ordered online. There are some tasty dishes on the menu so if you are really hungry start your meal Mulligatawny Soup or a Mixed Platter to share.
Then to follow try one of the House Specials such as Chicken Pimento a unique combination of ingredients including sweet peppers, garlic and tomatoes. Then finish with some delicious Ice Cream with a variety of flavours to choose from. The food, drink and service were all first class, we had the chicken tikka garlic mushroom to start then a tandoori cocktail for our main, we left feeling really satisfied!

Had a uber eats delivery. Food was very salty and briyani was spicy beyond tolerance. Had to stop eating and took loads of yogurt and milk to settle down burning sensation in mouth. Have raised complaints in uber aswell. I am a South Asian who can handle spice, but this was way beyond spicy, even though the food had no such spicy tag. Definitely not 4+ star as seen here. if eating salt like sea water n spice like death is your thing then try this restaurant.

Food nothing special. Had the Amm Aur Murgh, was very much like tomato soup with some sliced tandoori sliced chicken in it. Was a bit bland really and very sweetAlso had the Shahe Tukra, this was better but could do with peppers in as well and not enough fresh chillies in it. Portions a bit on the small side too.
Shall not bother trying the restaurant or order take away again. Shall stick with Solomans

DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE YEAR - I ordered a Malayan and I've never eaten food that had no flavour like that one like eating warm solid water, only flavour was in the pineapple. I also ordered a Madras that instead of spicy was tingly (like a fizzy drink) with no flavour and had the consistency of a soup. I ordered 2 desserts, the caramel and sticky toffee bombe came in a plastic wrap, the size of a tennis ball and a frutti di bosco in a glass cup, both which looked like they came from a bulk buy from Lidl. For the price I paid for my meal (and the desserts mostly) I was not expecting the lack of quality

Staff were friendly, very very quiet as in just me and my partner were in there on a Friday night. But was clean and tidy. Food was enjoyable potion size on the small side so ideal for me but could of been better for my partner. Pricing was fair. Will definitely go again when on the North East. The takeaway side I felt is more value for money but the quality is just the same.
