The G Corner products date back to the 1950's when Metropolitan Vickers asked G Corner & Co to design a range of special ultra heavy duty cable terminals for use with DC motors in traction applications. This range of terminals was formally adopted by British Rail as the recommended terminals for all cables over 0.01 in (6mm) in the 1960's.
Then in the 1970's they were asked to design a range of Ultra High Vibration withstand cable terminals for bogie to axle and bogie to carriage applications. In the decades that followed these established a reputation for the ultimate performance in these especially arduous applications.

Ultra High Vibration (Insulation grip) terminals for bogie to axle traction applications are designed to absorb high cable vibration between the cable insulation and the barrel of the terminal, using a specially designed double crimp which increases the life of the cable connection. These terminals have an extended barrel and ferrule insert, are manufactured in two bend types and do not have an inspection hole.

Our G Corner high vibration Enhanced Heavy Duty Cable Terminals for traction applications are manufactured from high conductivity seamless copper tube, annealed and electro-tin plated to combine maximum electrical conductivity with mechanical strength.
Our Heavy Duty Copper Tube Terminals feature bell mouth entry up to 500 mm2 and chamfered entry from 500 mm2 to 1000 mm2. Inspection holes are provided to ensure the conductor is fully inserted before crimping. Our terminals are fully annealed to avoid cracking and splitting when crimped. Internal barrel diameters suit standard cables as defined in BS 6360.
