Glenisle Hotel & Bistro
The Glenisle Hotel is nestled in the charming village of Lamlash the hotel boasts one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Arran; looking across Lamlash Bay toward the Holy Isle which rises 1,000 feet out of the sea. Once you have experienced Arran from the comfort of the Glenisle Hotel you might find yourself, like so many others, coming back year after year for a regular break which both relaxes and revitalises.

Often called "Scotland in Miniature", the Isle of Arran is the jewel in Scotland's crown by virtue of it's great diversity in natural beauty and wildlife. The Isle of Arran has possibly the most varied landscape of any of the Scottish isles. This is partly because the Highland Boundary Fault which runs northeast to southwest through Scotland and which separates the highlands from the lowlands actually runs right through the middle of Arran.

We had a brilliant evening at the restaurant of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the new chef John surprised us with outstanding food, served in the most beautiful way.
They so much convinced us, that we also got them in for a catering just a few days later. Another superb experience!

Food was good however what was described was not actually what was necessarily served. Servers also did not know what was on the menu. Very expensive and very small portions.

My wife and I were slightly surprised at how good the food was. We asked to eat outside as the weather was really nice, and we're avoiding crowded spaces as much as possible. That seemed to cause some organisational problems, but when the food finally arrived it was excellent. We had artichoke soup, scallops, haddock and chips, and risotto, and it was all well above average. The price was fair for the quality, and we would definitely return.

Superb food from the new chef and excellent service. Also a great outdoor area for our toddler to hang out in. A rare opportunity for us to eat such fantastic food while our 3 year old was catered for. Visited end of August 2021 and will be back again.

Really super food - the seafood tagliatelle on our first visit was so good, we has to return to try the Shredded Feather Beef, which did not disappoint. Might have to return to try the rest of the menu.
Super service, good Covid precautions and really nice wine as well.
Super views as well.
I would highly recommend eating here.
Thank you

Went for dinner and couldn’t fault it. The food and service were excellent. I had the lamb and it was a delight. My partners had the salmon and thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend.
