Auchrannie Hotel
We are proud to be the first Scottish hotel/resort to become employee owned. Auchrannie will therefore, always remain an independent, locally run organisation with community values at its heart. Auchrannie was acquired by Iain & Linda Johnston in 1988 with a view to providing indoor leisure facilities on the island.

In the process of achieving this objective, Auchrannie has grown from a 16 bedroom guest house to a resort now comprising two 4 star hotels with 85 rooms, thirty 5 star self-catering luxury lodges, 14 retreats, three iconic restaurants, a shop, two leisure clubs with pools, a destination spa, an outdoor adventure centre and a childrens 'Playbarn'.

Lovely stay at a lodge for 3 days. Staff very attentive and facilities and restaurants were excellent. One point of critique would be that for the price you wouldn't really have to clean as much and strip the beds. Also a side note: when talking to my wife in the corridors of the hotel, a (what seemed like a) manager type loudly requested us to wear a face mask. A) it is very rude to interrupt our conversation this way and to keep almost yelling at us after ignoring him. B) he has no right to ask us about it, we might be excempt. No way to treat guests. A big contrast to all the other employees

Was in the old building only thing to remember is if you have difficulty with stairs book an accessible room. Upgraded facilities were lovely and food in Brambles was perfect.

This resort has simply amazed me. The silence, the courtesy and friendly attitude of the staff, the cleanliness, the excellent food, the space, the location, everything is designed to allow you to be extremely comfortable and happy. I will for sure be going again :)

Stopped in at Brambles for a spot of lunch and wasn't disappointed. Steak baguette with a mug of soup was the order of today.

Absolutely beautiful. The sourdough bread sublime.

Decided to have a scone instead of the usual dessert menu. Best scones on the island by far.

After some of the mixed reviews, we kept our expectations in check, but ended up more than satisfied with our one night stay.
Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming, and service was friendly and efficient all around.
We stayed in what I believe is their basic-level accommodation, a House Hotel Twin room, which was spacious, with comfy beds, two chairs, a desk, wardrobe, fridge and coffee/tea facilities. The bathroom was medium-sized, with toilet, full size sink and shower over tub. Loved the bath products from Arran Aromatics.
I would call the bedroom decor modern, yet traditional

We ate at Brambles (the seafood restaurant) on our final night in Arran, and it was probably the meal I was most excited for. I love seafood, and I was interested to see what Auchrannie was like. We walked from Brodick - it's a bit of a strange walk and you'll probably feel like you took the wrong turn off as the road is very residential (I expected it to be estate grounds) but then you'll arrive at the resort.

Brambles is a very Scottish, cosy restaurant with a fireplace and lots of tartan. I liked the decor although it was a little bit too dark in the restaurant. No bother. We

Auchrannie resort is located just on the outskirts of Brodick on the island of Arran.
If you don't have a car the hotel bus can pick you up from the ferry terminal and the resort is only a 5 min drive away. There are two hotels, the old traditional building and the new white modern building. Both hotels offer spa treatments and restaurants.
We stayed in the old hotel and it was very romantic. It offers 2 restaurants, the Brambles with a cozy fireplace and the 1968 conservatory Scottish Tapas experience. You are surrounded by pure beauty of Scottish hills and mountains.

Just returned from a weekend at Auchrannie.

The resort is conveniently located. We brought our bikes on the ferry and road the 1 mile to the resort. Check-in was very smooth and the staff were all very friendly. The rooms were nice, with the bathrooms and linens updated, (carpets and furniture were a bit dated).

One of the nights we had dinner at their restaurant Eighteen69. The service started strong, but was lacking later in the evening as we tried to order dessert and pay our bill. The restaurant is a 'Scottish Tapas' style, which encourages you to try many items. The decor

We've stayed at the Lodges in the grounds of the Auchrannie resort twice now - the past 2 Autumns, and they are really fantastic. They are genuine luxury lodges, comfortable, cosy and and so well thought out - the nice people at Auchrannie really have thought of everything.

The decor is beautiful - neutral without being boring, and the lodges are spotlessly clean. The kitchens are the best I have ever experienced with self catering places. No blunt knives and manky chopping boards here! They are very well equipped - there really everything you need there, even a lemon squeezer, so if you
