As life begins to return to normal and we enjoy a taste of well-deserved freedom, please note it is still mandatory by law in Scotland for face-coverings to be worn in all indoor public settings and on public transport, subject to existing exemptions. Please help us to keep each other safe by sanitising your hands (we have hand-sanitiser dispensers throughout the Hotel) and by wearing your mask whilst moving round the Hotel.
If our Team have to politely remind you that masks must be worn, please do not be offended, they are simply following the law. In addition, please be advised we are still required to take contact track & trace details for all guests dining indoors and, although not mandatory, we recommend you check in using the NHS Check in Scotland App.

This is a boutique hotel, a lovely place to stay .. but not cheap for food or drink either. The location and rooms are excellent, the food is very good. the staff were all nice enough but the service was very slow & sloppy. Not good enough @ the prices being charged.
Management need to make sure the staff pay attention to what they are supposed to be doing. Def gone downhill from several previous visits. it used to be excellent in every little detail 😞 maybe we will try somewhere else next time

What an stunning first meal out as a married couple. Amazing service, our waiter was fantastic and made us feel so welcome and the reception staff were also brilliant.
Amazing food. First vegan steak I've ever had and I want another one, the chips were spot on too. Husband loved his burger and won't stop talking about it now. I could eat the bread platter for the rest of my life tbh - loved it.
We can't wait to go back again. We'd be there regularly if we lived in the island.

Situated close to the ferry terminal ideal place for a drink prior to departing the island, we did not eat here but the food that was being delivered to the tables around us looked fantastic. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and the view across the bay. If we manage to visit again we may well try the food menu

Me like! Popped in here whilst waiting for the ferry, just across the road. A very attractive establishment with attentive staff and a well stocked bar, including the local Arran gin, whisky and ale. I didn't eat but the meals on other tables did look good. A lovely lounge with big windows, the tables by the windows being very popular. I would like to return there on day and actually stay a couple of nights, so as to enjoy Arran, and The Douglas more

We had a fantastic experience again at the Douglas yesterday. The staff are great and their outdoor seating area is a fabulous spot. On a previous visit we tried the salmon platter which was outstanding, and others' food at our table looked equally good. Would really recommend the Douglas, it ticks all of the boxes.
