Welcome to Bloxcidge House Day Nursery in Langley, Oldbury, within Sandwell, West Midlands. Bloxcidge House caters for all children from the age of approx. 3 months to 5 years of age. In addition to providing pre-school education, we also offer Before and After School care together with Holiday care for children aged 5 to 8 years.
We are Ofsted registered for a maximum of 52 children. We open from 7:15 am - 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year (except for bank holidays). Our fees are inclusive of meals, nappies, formula baby milk and barrier creams. Bloxcidge House uses Tapestry an online Learning Journal to monitor each child's progress.

Services
Karen and Philip Hardy registered Bloxcidge House as a 52 place Day Nursery in 1990. In 2004 Karen also became the registered provider for a 73 place nursery in Smethwick, Victoria House. Sian Chappell originally trained at Victoria House before moving across to Bloxcidge House to take up her current role of Manager, working alongside the Assistant Manager - Karen Brown.
Bloxcidge Day Nursery caters for all children from the age of approx. 3 months to 5 years of age. The nursery, is a small family business, set up originally in 1990 to provide care for the owner's first child. We added an extension in 1994 to provide a small Before and After school and Holiday club for children aged 5-8 years.
The Nursery was established in 1990 as a small family business, set up originally to provide care for the owner's 3 children. We aim to provide the very best in quality childcare, in a professional but friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Our outdoor garden area was recently upgraded to include a climbing frame, mud kitchen, construction area and planting areas together with sand and water play.
The facilities for babies and the younger children up to the age of 2 are on the ground floor. Our youngest children are in Blue which is large enough for six babies with two members of staff. Our key worker system is designed to form a close bond between each child and their allocated member of staff which provides re-assurance, security and stability.
Our aim is to provide a warm and stimulating educational environment for your child to explore. We know how important it is that children learn a lot from play, we we provide various activities that allow easy, enjoyable learning to happen. We encourage children to feed themselves using cutlery, to drink from an open top cup and to sit around the table at meal and snack times where they can learn and copy from other children of the same age.
