Spon lane day nursery offers a nurturing and inclusive day care for children 0-5years of age.
With us being central West Bromwich, we have fantastic transportation links within a 5 minute walk, both the metro and bus station offer frequent services to and from Birmingham city centre and the local area. Flexible free funded sessions are available for eligible 2, 3 and 4 years old for 15 or 30 hours per week, 37 weeks per year.

Our vision is to create a homely environment for our children to feel safe and loved, make secure attachments to their key person to enable them to thrive, gain self-confidence and become independent learners. The uniqueness of our children is respected and celebrated, we aim to create and maintain outstanding provision where children's interests and opinions matter.
Staff here at Spon Lane day nursery are selected carefully through our rigid and robust recruitment process including individual DBS checks which are regularly monitored and reviewed. They come from varied backgrounds with extensive knowledge of childcare ranging from degrees to apprenticeship level.
You will find a small cosy home from home where children are able to make meaningful relationships with staff, providing our babies with the reassurance and nurture needed to safely explore, have fun and learn through play. Here at Spon Lane we believe our outdoor environment is just as important as indoor and ensure all babies have daily opportunities to enjoy fresh air and exercise their exploratory impulses further.
Staff in this room will plan weekly activities to support children in all areas of their development with a strong focus on nursery rhymes to extend vocabulary and encourage good speech and language skills. Here at Spon Lane we believe our outdoor environment is just as important as indoor and ensure all children have daily opportunities to enjoy fresh air and exercise their exploratory impulses further.
Moving through to our toddler room (2-3 years) you will find an enriching inquisitive environment where the children can continue their learning about who they are, their environment and the world we live in. We understand the importance of working closely with our families/ carers and do this by involving you within our planning process and children's next steps.

I highly recommend Spon Lane day nursery. The nursery has a warm welcoming environment, happy staff who really care about the children and are professional, patient and supportive. Ricardo was 2 months old when he started and now he's 3. I will always be grateful to the nursery for the nurture and care Ricardo always receives and which provided me… with peace of mind from day 1. He has his special attachments to staff - but all staff have contributed to his development into the happy, secure, energetic, chilled, funny, clever, inquisitive child that he is today.

I don’t have a Bad word to say about this nursery, my son absolutely loves it. His key workers Stacie & Stacy have really helped his development and anything i ask them to help him with they never fail to help him get there.All the staff are very welcoming and lovely also the atmosphere is always happy and It is a very clean and up to date nursery, Highly recommended❤️😁

I highly recommend Spon Lane day nursery. The standard of care is ecellent. Staff are professional, with daily verbal and written feedback for pareents/carers. The nursery experience provided for my grandson has been full of fun with new experiences every day that has helped his development in all areas.i am especially grateful for the love, care and attention pzid to my grandson's individual needs and development and for the warm feeling that is reflected throughout the nursery - not to mention the fantastic outdoor play area which ensures that he gets plenty outdoor play.

Kayleigh and her team are very caring and professional.
I always get a Warm and welcoming feeling in the nursery.
I love how caring and loving they are to my little one.
They will go the Extra mile to help and support you in any way possible.
The daily feed back on how my little ones day has been is great.
Has a lovely outdoors play area.

My son loves it.
ALL the staff are friendly, approachable, helpful and understanding.
I'm very fussy when it comes to my child, after viewing Spon Lane first and other nurseries afterwards I had no other option to enrol my son here as it was the one which had a good mix of different ethnicities -which is important, easy access and a good size space for the children.
Spon Lane Nursury is well organised and the play areas are full of different options for the children. The staff regularly send you pictures of your child via an app which is assuring and let's you know what they are up to.
