Services
We are pleased to be able to welcome you to our practice. We are a community centered, friendly and warm practice, with many long-standing clients and staff. We are run by a partnership, not a corporation, and really like to get to know our clients and their pets, offering them the best advice and treatment possible.
This is your overview of the services we offer. Should you have any questions, you can of course get in touch with us or make an appointment. If your animal is injured or unwell, this is the starting point for examination, investigations, diagnosis and treatment. From checking over your new animal, to deciding when it's time to say goodbye.
DOGS - please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times. Please allow your dog to empty his/her bowels and bladder before coming to the clinic. If your dog does get "caught short" in the surgery, please tell a member of staff so that it can be cleaned up before inconveniencing others.
CATS - please ensure that your cat is brought to the surgery in a basket that is securely fastened and lined with plenty of newspaper so that if they have "an accident" during the journey to the surgery it can be easily dealt with.RABBITS - please ensure your rabbit is brought to the surgery in a securley fastened pet carrier for his/her security.

NSVE is a veterinary service dedicated to providing care for pets and their owners 'out of hours' (when we are closed) and work very closely with us to provide continuity of care. They are staffed by dedicated critical care vets and nurses, all with much experience in the field of emergency work. They have excellent facilities on-site, with all the diagnostic and therapeutic equipment required to deal with any emergency.
Good news, we are now able to offer you our full range of services and it is no longer necessary to call first when arriving for an appointment or to collect medication. Just come into Reception and let us know you have arrived. We would also request that you please wear a mask inside the building, use the hand sanitiser and maintain social distancing whenever possible.

I would highly recommend any one bringing there animals to this vets they are all fantastic!!
My house cat Sox jumped out of our 3rd floor window and we didn't find him till nearly 4 weeks after.
We caught him in the bushes near by and realised he was badly hurt and burnt on his back we took him to Sherwood vets and they stiched him up and treated his burns two weeks on we are still seeing them as he had such a horrific injuries.
If it wasn't for the vets treating him so quickly he wouldn't be with us today i thank all the members of staff involved and cant wait till 100% better....

Only took my dog here once when I first got the little poppet. He was a rescue dog and fairly traumatised. He had a bad tummy, infections in a few places and was scared. This vets was local, so I booked in and the vet didn't show any real connection with him at all. It was all very impersonal. When he tried to stick a thermometer up my dogs bum, he bit him... The vets response was to say that my dog would be hard to control and I'd never be able to trust him. Well I'm sorry, but if he'd tried to do it to me, I'd have bitten him too!! 5 years later and my dog is the friendliest

I have been registered here for 2 years and to be honest I'm not totally happy. I can't quite put my finger on it. Receptionist is pleasant, I have never had a problem making an appointment. The vets have always done their job. I have seen 2 different vets. The last one I saw perhaps came across a bit short in his mannerism. I think personally the practice and the environment comes across a bit cold and unfriendly. That said I have had no bad experience here. I think I would just prefer a warmer friendlier place for my little dog.
