I absolutely love the Monraven! Joe goes above and beyond to help you feel comfortable and welcome. He takes the time to talk to his guests as well and checks in when he sees you to make sure that your doing well. You aren't just a guest who pays and goes, you matter here. Aside from the excellent service, what stood out to me was the fact that the rooms were very clean and aired out. You don't get the stuffy air that some B&B's get when they keep everything shuttered up. The place is fresh and cheerful, for me that helps set it apart.
This warm and friendly environment is a home away from home

Has free parking, but only 2 spots, however there should be available street parking nearby. Closest restaurants are a close 10 min walk away. Owners were friendly and informative. Rooms were cozy and warm in the chilly 2018 Easter, almost too warm! (Just crack a window.) Bedding was plentiful and comfortable, though mattresses were a bit worn. Breakfast included, with a decent selection including hams, cheese, cherry tomatoes, cereals, tea and coffee. Attentive service. Unlimited hot water, tea and coffee in the main room. Check out the small collection of autographed football shirts there too

Owners really friendly and breakfast was excellent but all this was spoiled by the fact that the room we used was very dirty. There was very thick layers of dust on the shelf, light switches, power points and the pelmet and skirting board. Obviously it had not been thoroughly cleaned in weeks.
