Gracie Drew Nursery is a small family business which provides Early Learning and Childcare from 8am to 6pm for children 0 - 5. Simplicity and old fashioned values are at the core of our philosophy. We operate a transparent service by working in partnership with parents to provide high quality holistic care with endless opportunities to play, learn and socialise with friends.
Enjoying the outdoors each day is essential for healthy happy children. Many parents have asked this over the years, and to us, our little nursery could go by no other name. Gracie Drew was born in 1918 and was an only child, much loved by her parents Mary and Fredrick. She was devoted to her father, a tailor by trade, but sadly when she was still young he died leaving Mary to raise her daughter alone.

Services
Our Lily environment is homely, welcoming and nurturing which is ready for the babies to play, grow and learn. There is a wide selection of easy accessible resources including natural and real life objects both indoors and out which provide stimulating and rich opportunities. The Lily's also have access to outdoors where they can explore safely the wonders of nature either in the nursery garden or out for a stroll.
Our Daisy Room is for children aged 2 - 3. Being two at Gracie Drew is a time of surprise, wonder, independence and security. Children are learning about themselves, they mimic others and want to be big and strong just like them. Although two's desire independence they need a familiar routine which makes them feel safe.
The Ivy Room is for children aged 3 - 5. We work in partnership with the Local Authority to provide free funded spaces. This means we follow the same Curriculum as the School Nurseries, with the added benefit of a smaller and more personal surrounding. Our dedicated ELC team are fully qualified to provide the highest possible learning and care.
