Services
Within the play that we provide, we follow the Revised Early Years Foundation framework. This ensures that we provide individual learning and development for each and every child, treating them as individuals and promoting positive relationships. The environment we provide is carefully designed to ensure that it stimulates and supports children's learning.
The baby room accommodates babies aged 0 - approximately 24 months. It is a large room which is designed to support babies learning to crawl, walk and generally explore. The play is predominantly sensory based encouraging exploration through all the senses. There is a quiet area for babies who may wish to sleep/rest.
Children move into the 2 - 3's room when they are approximately 24 months until around the term after their third birthday. The room promotes the first steps of independence through extended sensory experiences and continuous play. Continuous provision is accessible during the core of the day to enable children to make choices through a large selection of resources.
The children move into the Pre-school unit when they are eligible for their 15hrs free nursery grant. This is accessible the term after a child's 3rd birthday. The room offers a large range of resources and experiences for the children to explore, and promotes independent play and learning.
The children have access to the outdoor play area throughout the day, and because of this, we ask all parents to provide appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for their child.Pre school children have recently learned how to use Makaton to communicate with children who have speech and language difficulties.

Sight, sound and smell are all senses that can be stimulated within our sensory room. We have bubble lamps, projectors, fibre optics and scent machines amongst the many resources. These encourage young children's explorations and offer support in meeting their individual needs, particularly for those children who have some form of developmental need.
