Visited here last Saturday for afternoon tea with a friend. We had a super time. There is a great selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scone jam and cream and another four sweet treats each. As much coffee and tea as you like. Nobody says you have to end with soft drinks, well it was a ladies afternoon out, couple of drinks and a cocktail (the barman very kindly made us one requested which is not on the menu!) Highly recommended.

Wanted a quiet place for sunday lunch instead of the manic chains. Not been before and found the lack of disabled access signing for the restaurant a bit confusing bur eventually got to the garden room entrance to the rear. Staff were helpful and polite. Restaurant was busy but plenty of space and did not feel like a cattle sale like some other places. Decent menu choices. Food was piping hot. The fish was breaded rather than battered but that was not clear on the menu and the beef was thin slices but other than that it was good and the were proper platefuls. Cullen was served in a wide bowl which

For a 3 star hotel the service and the food was outstanding, pleasantly surprised! The only letdown was the mattress...it was uncomfortable and I suspect it's overdue for a replacement...this is often the case with hotels..even 5 star ones! Very clean and great breakfast too.

I am sorry to say my favourite hotel in Elgin has went down hill fast. I was most disappointed by the fact bins were not emptied and glasses not washed on a daily basis. I just felt that standards had slipped in the housekeeping of the hotel and no one has bothered to correct them.
