Services
The nursery offers full time and sessional day care for children from birth to school age. Wisbech Day Nursery is registered with Ofsted. The nursery is open from 7am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
We are able to provide flexible childcare to suit each individual need and also offer the Free Two's Government Funded Scheme for eligible children and full flexible Government Funded Early Years Education is available for children from the term after their 3rd birthday.We offer parents continuity of care by opening the nursery all year round, only closing for bank holidays.

At Wisbech Day Nursery, we believe children learn "all day, every day" and we have a strong ethos of learning through play and purposeful play. This is underpinned by our "moment by moment" planning for our under 2's where the team observe children and respond in the here and now to support children's learning through the things they are naturally interested in and inspired to try.
Our Caterpillar Room is for children from birth - 2 years. We focus on the individual needs of each child and will follow your routine from home wherever possible. Your child will be allocated a key worker who will work in partnership with you, to consistently support the child's home routine with regards to weaning, sleeping, feeding, and meeting your child's changing individual needs.
The Ladybird Room is for our Children from 2 - 3 years old. We have a maximum of 24 children in this room working on a 1:4 staff to adult ratio. The Ladybird Room has direct access into our extensive Garden and the children enjoy free flow indoor / outdoor play. Ladybirds is a lively, happy and stimulating environment which offers greater opportunities for the children to explore their surroundings and express themselves.
Our setting has a duty under the law to help safeguard children against suspected or actual 'significant harm'. Our employment practices ensure children against the likelihood of abuse in our settings and we have a procedure for managing complaints or allegations against a member of staff.
Our way of working with children and their parents ensures we are aware of any problems that may emerge and can offer support, including referral to appropriate agencies when necessary, to help families in difficulty.All Policies have been adopted by First Steps Childcare (Cambs) Limited and are reviewed annually.

Great nursery, my little one has been here for a year now, she loves it. She has a great time while she is there. The staff are amazing. Very informative when you collect your child. My little one loves the forest garden, (the forest garden was the main reason I sent my little one here as she loves being outside)

Best decision I ever made was putting my son here. He’s absolutely thriving and I know it’s down to the amazing staff there. They keep constant communication with parents so you always know anything that’s going on, and the facilities are fab! The chefs food is clearly brilliant as my son is eating food I never would have expected. The nursery staff are incredibly supportive to any personal situations and I can’t thank them enough for helping my boy to become a lot more confident with other children and to try new things!
