Sfizio is a family-run restaurant in Ware, Hertfordshire, specialising in lovingly made Italian cuisine - cibo di cuore (food from the heart). Our extensive menu features a variety of delicious meat and vegetarian dishes. And, with an array of drinks on offer, you can let your hair down and enjoy a tipple or two.

Our antipasti selection includes tasty dishes like gamberoni alla griglia (grilled king prawns) and traditional paesana (an Italian cured meat and cheese salad with Parma ham, salami sausages, and fresh mozzarella, served with homemade bread). Mains offer many exciting options, including traditionally crafted pizza, rolled veal escalope filled with Parma ham, mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce, and pan-fried lemon sole with the chef's own sauce.

No parking, but car park only about 5 minutes. Can be a little noisy.

Great family run business which makes it all that little bit more special and the service is great and the food is fantastic for the prices my favourite Italian around the frozen food needs to go though and more homemade food would be so much better 👌💯

I like the ambience and friendliness of this place, and the location is great. My experience of the food was it was average - my order was supposed to have crispy bacon but it came very under-cooked and very pink, which is not something I enjoyed very much, but the rest of the meal was enjoyable.

Polite, helpful staff.
Didn't have to wait too long.
Food was nice but the portions could have been bigger given the cost.
Don't have the spag bol, there's hardly any meat in it.
It's a shame the carbonara uses bacon which isn't authentic.

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Warm and friendly, family run restaurant.
I had a fantastic pizza, made with fresh ingredients.
Thin crust, just as real pizza,should be. Highly recommended.

Shocking experience !
Got there for quick lunch and ordered bruscetta as starter followed by 2 Margarita.
Bruscetta was soggy with beef tomatoes tasteless.
Pizzas arrived 34mn later with no apology. Pizza dough was undercooked and did not taste much. Tomato sauce was very sweet and did not reflect any italian standard.
We kindly and discretely explained to the manager that it was not up to our taste and we did not want to eat them as we simply disliked them. He asked us if it was the first time we were at the restaurant which it was, and replied "this is why then".... really ? What does this

Feel let down as went for 50th meal .Being italian myself must say the food was a complete let down . Ravioli were dry and had no taste . Other guests in my party were also disappointed with their food .Ruined our evening Maybe the chef was having a bad day !! Will not re visit again!!!

An excellent family run Italian in Ware. We tried here after family recommendations and have now been several times. Large portions of food but at good prices. Average for us with drinks, starters and mains seems to be around £30/£40. The food is very tasty and authentic. Can recommend the garlic long prawns with bread, Italian sausage casserole and calamari dishes for starters. Can recommend any pizza/pasta/seafood dish for mains or the Chicken with parmesan. If you don't have a big stomach, just stick to a main meal as the portions are large, rich and filling. There's also a very good selection
