Our Nursery is open as normal. Although it is not compulsory, for safeguarding reasons, we are continuing to wear face coverings, following strict hand washing procedures and continuing with the social distancing measures we have in place. At The Avenue Nursery we provide a safe, caring, nurturing learning environment for children aged between 2 to 5 years old.
We provide a balance between caring and learning, with qualified dedicated staff in a rich stimulating environment indoors and outdoors. We are very proud to have "Outstanding" status from Ofsted. We're open 50 weeks of the year. At the moment all 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for up to 15 hours per week, however this has been extended to offer 30 hours per week.

Services
We like all children to access both rooms to aid a smooth transition when the time is right for them to move on. This gives children the opportunity to be with brothers and sisters engaging in play and sharing experiences. We share the dining room with the school during lunch time; children can have a Derbyshire County Council school dinner or supply a packed lunch.
We will promote good relationships between parents/carers and the staff, respecting and valuing your view as the prime carer of your child, and involving you in all discussions about your child. We will hold regular meetings to discuss your child's progress with you and any involved professionals. We will provide you with written information about the service you and your child will be receiving.
We are a long established Nursery with over 20 years of experience. We have a highly qualified long serving management team and we hand pick our staff to ensure a dedicated, highly professional team. Our team combines experience with expertise and the energy of newly qualified and highly skilled staff to create an inspirational learning environment in which children are supported in achieving their potential.
Acknowledge and value equally through each child's individual stage, culture, religion, language, racial background and family group. Actively seek to combat sexism and promote equal opportunities for girls and boys, women and men. Plan our programme to extend the children's experience and knowledge of other cultures, languages and celebrations.
Fees are charged at an hourly rate; please ask when enquiring about a nursery place for current prices. Discounts are available for siblings. Fees are payable every 4 weeks in advance during term time. School holidays are optional; fees are only payable if you choose to book sessions during the holidays.
