Services
We were established by Stephen Switalski in 1993. Originally we were focused simply on Child Care Law and Criminal Law and operated from one office in Wakefield. We now have 12 office locations, over 250 staff and handle a wide range of specialist legal services. Our aim is to share knowledge and best practice and bring people together in all of the sectors we operate in. Our training events and conferences bring people with shared interests together to build their knowledge of the application of law in their sector. Our local business networking events provide a friendly environment without the pressure and obligations that people sometimes associate with networking events.
Our team of legal specialists includes a number of nationally-recognised experts in their field. A number of them are also experienced in training and teaching for legal professionals, local authorities, not-for-profit organisations and more. We believe that effective legal training should be provided by knowledgeable, practicing lawyers.
Many things have changed since we were founded in 1993, but our focus on providing first-class client care remains at the heart of the business. It's important that potential clients know what to expect from us and are confident that we have the knowledge, skills and experience to help them with the specific legal matter they need to resolve.

We used Switalskis for both the purchase and sale in our recent move. All of whom I dealt with were excellent with Richard and Maria deserving a particular mention. I have moved house a couple of times in recent years and they were head and shoulders better then previous experience. Switalskis Solicitors are the business, when it comes to conveyancing. They assisted us in making our sale very efficiently. They keep their cost down, with some of their colleagues working in South Africa. I would say choose them first, don't go to them, after being referred as we did, through a third party (Homefast). As (here is the word of caution) the third party will charge you £250 (2019 rates) for referring you to Switalskis.

We had a fantastic experience with Leasa from Switalskis, she was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We were first time buyers and as such had only a rough understanding of how the process worked, she was happy to help guide us through and explain everything clearly and in plain English. Our calls / emails were always returned promptly and at times she was even chasing us to keep things running smoothly, we’ve heard nightmare stories about the problems others have experienced when buying a house and things dragging on for months, but we didn’t have a single problem and everything was sorted
