Services
Ashridge Nursery is an independent, purpose-built nursery, within its own fully enclosed gardens. Established for almost 40 years, we have an excellent reputation, take pride in being part of our local community, and have a Good OFSTED rating. We are a non-profit making registered charity, administered through a Management Committee.
I joined Ashridge in 2019 having worked in early years settings since 2004 including working for 5 years supporting children with special educational needs. I love working in early years as no day is the same and I believe helping children grow and develop ready for school is one of the most rewarding jobs you could have!
The Nursery grounds are fully enclosed within the grounds of Keep Hatch Primary School site. Entrance to the grounds is gained via a wooden gate. We have just completed a large renovation project which has enhanced the gardens with new climbing equipment and astro-turf. There is a large area with a road to the front of the building, for riding bicycles, and sit and ride cars and toys.
The children are welcomed at the door and after self registration, then sit on the carpet for a story and registration. The weather, day and date are discussed at this time and the children are introduced to the day's activities. Any special news may also be shared. During this time the children work in small groups, with their Key-person or Key-person Buddy.
Our sessions are available during term time. Fees are payable until your child becomes eligible for Early Years Funding. All 3 year olds are eligible to receive Universal or Extended Funding, entitling your child to free care and learning per week from the start of the term after their 3rd birthday.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
took months to receive plants in very poor quality. Blamed on lockdown but far inferior service when compared to other online nurseries, workign in similar circumstances.

My daughter loves going to Ashridge. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Always a lovely variety of activities going on and the stay and play sessions for the grown ups offer a great insight into the daily enjoyment had by all.

My son has only attended for a week and already the change in him is massive. He's more confident, speaking more and clearer. He's in general more contented and happy, no longer having toileting accidents. Such a big difference in such a short space of time.

Excellent nursery!
My 3 year old goes here, she settled in very quickly and she absolutely loves it,
I could not be any happier with my choice of nursery.
The activities they offer and support to each child is amazing,
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Poppy-Sue left Ashridge in July ready to start school in the September. She was there almost 2 years and I can't find any negatives, only positives. Welcoming staff, varied activities, Poppy-Sue loved going to nursery and we were all so sad to see her leave! Poppy-Sue built a great relationship with her key worker aswell as all other staff. Felt happy and at ease dropping her off that she would be in safe hands x
