We provide a broad curriculum at Eastfield and lead with the children's interests in mind whenever we can. We are also very fortunate to have the richly historical Riverport on our doorstep. This provides us with many learning opportunities and we take advantage of what this has to offer whenever possible.
When appropriate to the children's experiences and learning we invite visitors into the school to provide a wide range of enrichment opportunities. Recently, these have included the Britten Sinfonia, a pantomime of 'Cinderella and The Raptor Foundation, who brought in a small selection of owls and birds for a flying display.

Services
Eastfield children and adults will develop a life-long love of learning, within a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment. We will adapt to changing circumstances to provide and support both communal and individual learning, within the local community and the school. Provide a safe environment for pupils in which adults are supportive and vigilant in all aspects of safe guarding.
Applications for a school place are made directly to the local authority in which you live. Admission to Eastfield is managed by Cambridgeshire Local Authority. In Cambridgeshire places are offered in Reception from the September following your child's 4th birthday. To apply for a place or for further information about the process, please visit the Cambridgeshire County Council website or call 0345 045 1370.
Under the Education Act 2002 (section 175), schools must make arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. We will endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. The school will therefore be alert to signs of abuse and neglect and will follow the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) procedures to ensure that children receive appropriated and effective support and protection.
Eastfield Infant and Nursery School is set in a richly diverse community which provides many learning opportunities, including to learn about and respect one another. Our community comprises of different ethnic groups, a range of cultures, languages and religious beliefs. We have a variety of families and children including children and parents/carers with special educational needs and disabilities.
Meet the people who help to make our school special. At Eastfield there are a lot of small teams working together to ensure our children are the best that they can be. From lunchtime staff to the teachers and teaching assistants; we constantly talk to each other about children's well being and their learning.
