Meadow Lane Children's Nursery is based on a wonderfully unique location of Farmland in St Ives with livestock and allotments and vases indoor and outdoor play spaces. This beautiful location allows us to offer regular Forest School sessions and plenty of outdoor play and learning, giving the children the opportunity to be at one with nature.
We follow the Early Years curriculum alongside the Reggio Emilia approach, this enables us to encourage children's learning and development in the seven areas, whilst incorporating the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration, discovery and play. The environment is changing and being adapted all the time to support the interests of the children within the setting.

Services
We employ a well-qualified and friendly team of childcare educators that are all DBS checked and offer knowledge and experience in childcare, education, child protection and first aid. Our diverse team ensures that we have a vast array of knowledge within the specialist areas of the Nursery and its setting, ensuring the children have the best possible stimulation and experiences in a safe and secure environment.
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old. It promotes quality teaching and child-led learning to ensure their development provides the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. Each child at Meadow Lane Children's Nursery assigned a key educator, who is responsible for monitoring and recording your child's ongoing development.
At Meadow Lane Children's Nursery, we believe that children thrive in the great outdoors. Outdoor play gives children the chance to connect with the natural world, gives them first-hand experiences of life and growth, endless opportunities for creativity and imagination and improves their health and physical development.
Here at Meadowlane we believe that children need plenty of opportunities to express themselves in as many ways as possible. Process art is a great way of letting children explore materials, embed skills and be creative, both in their thinking as well as in the things they create. It's the process that is valuable and not a preconceived product or outcome.
