In 2011 North London Garden Designers, Jo Fenton and Anne Roberts formed a creative partnership. Dividing the Design Process between Hard Landscaping and Planting they are able to make the most of their individual strengths in the delivery of unique and inspirational designs. Working closely with each client, they employ imaginative use of space and original planting schemes, to unlock the potential of each garden.
Following 15 years practical experience as a professional gardener in North London, Jo trained at Capel Manor Horticultural College. Here she gained qualifications in Garden Design, Horticulture and Hard Landscaping as well as winning the Student of the Year Award for Garden Design. What I most enjoy, is playing with shapes and space, to create original gardens which excite my clients.

Services
Jo Fenton and Anne Roberts have formed a creative partnership delivering unique and inspirational designs. Working closely with each client, they employ imaginative use of space and original planting schemes, to unlock the potential of each garden. I have had such an overwhelming amount of interest in my wheelie Bin Store, from all over the country, that I have produced a pack of Plans for the DIY builder to purchase.
If you are interested in any of our Garden Design services we welcome all enquiries. We are based in Barnet and Palmers Green and serve North London, Hertfordshire and Beyond. We produce detailed garden plans and specifications which can be used by a landscaper to build the garden. In order to better help you understand the vision we can provide 3D drawings and mood boards.
We will work closely with you throughout the design process, construction and planting of your garden. Once the garden is built we can provide monthly maintenance visits to keep your garden looking splendid all year round. The process begins with a consultation which usually lasts between 1-2 hours.
The brief for this garden was to provide a tranquil and secluded, plant-filled space for a newly retired person to garden and enjoy the wildlife. There are two seating areas, one in the full shade for hotter days, the other with space for dining. The pond has a trickling water feature and is home to a shoal of minnows.
In a garden as tiny as this everything is always on show. We combined brick, oak and steel to create a space that is simple, contemporary and in keeping with the existing old brick boundary walls. Our client is a keen gardener and wanted a prairie style planting scheme which he could enjoy maintaining and experimenting with.
