At Ingoldisthorpe Primary School we have thought carefully and worked with our pupils, staff and governors to create a shared vision that reflects our values. From this we worked together, prayed together and reflected together on why we are distinctly Christian and what we aim to achieve. We are a family school where everyone matters.
At the heart of our vision is a strong, positive influence on the high quality of staff and pupil relationships and well-being. Pupils are valued as individuals and thrive in their personal development. Our school's link with the local church and parish is very strong and pupils and parents acknowledge this partnership as a distinctive feature of the school.

All pre-school children in the year before they start school can attend school in Little Owls Nursery class in the term following from the age of three. Our childcare provision includes universal 15 hours entitlement and the extended 30 hour provision (for qualifying families). The Nursery runs in two sessions from 9:00-12:00 and 12:00 till 15:00 during term time - Monday to Friday.
Hazel class is year 1 and taught by Miss Davies and Willow class is year 2 taught by Mrs MacGowan. In Hazel and Willow classes we love to work hard and learn about our topics. We are very excited to be learning about changes, seasons, hibernation and migration, L.S Lowry, and lots more! We will be studying the prodigal son and learning about Global issues, along with other important Christian festivals such as Nativity.
In the Autumn term we are looking forward to learning about Anglo-Saxon Britain, where they came from, where they settled and how they lived their lives. We will be learning through a creative topic-based way, writing instructions on how to safely make a fire just like the Anglo-Saxons and learning the importance of safety around fire, poetry in the form of Anglo-Saxon Kennings and retelling the epic Beowulf.
This term we are very excited to be learning about 'Crime and punishment through the ages.' We will be investigating capital punishment, how crimes have been classified and punished over time as well as learning about the law and justice system. We are very excited to be visiting the Gaol house in Kings Lynn to learn about Kings Lynns history of witch hunting, crime and punishment.
We are proud of our long history and Christian ethos: a family school where everyone matters. We are able to offer a secure, friendly family environment. It is an ideal setting for children to develop, thrive and succeed. The church is at the heart of our school. We actively promote family and inclusion.
