I have used Castle Cars for a number of years, but can no longer depend on their service. Although they have let me down and virtually forced me to use my own vehicle, last night was the last straw!
I deliberately ordered a cab at 1650hrs to collect family at 1840 (so 3 hours advanced warning), only to receive a text saying cab would be delayed but I would be prioritised? Rang up at 1840 to process and told it would be another 10 minutes! This cab was ordered and the booking accepted and confirmed 2 hours prior to required time. Yet again I had to drive to make sure we arrived at restraint for

I would not use again. On 2 occasions recently I have pre-booked taxis and on both occasions have received a text to say they had been despatched only to then get a text, sone time later to say they have been cancelled. I then received a number of texts saying due to high demand your taxi is delayed but we are trying to prioritise. When I phoned up to chase, I felt that I wss being spun a yarn. I had to use other firms then and cancel Castle Cars.

Sadly unlikely I will use again; told no cars available for 50 minutes (at least they were honest / managing expectation finally) but after 70 minutes still no sign of a taxi. Against my better judgement took an alternative provider. No call from Castle to say Taxi had arrived at any point; just a text message saying the taxi had been cancelled...

This was not a good taxi experience. Booked at half 2 on a weekday afternoon & received a text confirming the booking, followed almost immediately by another saying the cab was "delayed." 40 minutes later, still no cab. Called the dispatchers who said they were still trying to get me a cab. Gave up & grabbed a black cab.
