Our extended family of 10 rented two of the cottages at Beaconside House for 4 nights in August; our first holiday break post lockdown. From the website we thought we had landed on a real gem of a holiday destination; it was expensive but looked fabulous! The reality left all the adults a little disappointed with the quality of the accommodation. We had a lovely holiday because the weather was great as is the location in North Devon but we did expect a better standard of accommodation for the high price. There were many small issues but in summary: the cottages are in need of investment to bring

Stayed for 3 nights in one of their woodland glamping cabins which was beautifully furnished and perfect for a get away from it all break. Definitely recommended.
One point to note - parking is some distance from the cabins and access is along unpaved tracks that are steep in places so not ideal if you have mobility problems.

Love this place! Stayed here for a few nights this autumn and can’t wait to come back. So cosy, with big beds and nice fires, plus two pools and a hot tub. Supermarkets and lovely towns are within 10 minutes of the place too. Looking forward to coming back again

Stayed here for a week over Christmas as a break from London/Oxford. Slightly run down but charming as anything with an indoor pool, hot tub, games room. Great fun for all the family
