Heathcote House Nursery and Preschool, our premier childcare facility in the centre of Devizes, provides sessional and full day care for ages 0-5 years. We are lucky to have a purpose designed building, fabulous outdoor areas and designated rooms for each age range, including a separate sleep room.
Our babies (0-2 years) have their own separate outdoor space and sleep room. Toddlers (2-3 years) have 2 inter connecting spaces to allow for the oodles of sensory play that toddlers need and love so much. Our Pre-school children split into 2 further groups, Little Stars (3-4 years) and Rising Stars (school leavers between 3 1/2 and 5 years).

Services
Our Baby Room is a home from home, having separate areas within the nursery including a dedicated sleep room, milk kitchen, nappy change facility and garden. We recognise the importance of babies being nurtured in a homely environment.
We have cosy spaces for "hiding", exploring and resting in, low level units and a small sofa for our cruising babies to learn to take their next steps and lots of natural, open ended resources to support the babies curiosity.

Our Toddler Room consists of 2 inter connecting rooms. We have a messy room where all of the sensory and very messy play happens. When tidied the children also have their freshly made, home cooked snacks and meals served here. In the playroom is where you will find the role play, construction, musical instruments, small world, a cosy story corner and much much more!
This is a small group, which allows a gentle introduction into Pre-School, with around 10 children accompanied by 2 qualified adults. They have both a "messy" play area and a larger carpeted area within their room allowing a wide variety of play and learning opportunities to take place simultaneously.
Rising Stars is our largest room, which allows bigger class sizes and operates with 4 qualified adults. Your child will join the Rising Stars when they are in their last year before starting school, and this last phase in the nursery is a gentle introduction to school readiness. The room is made up, similarly to the Little Stars (younger pre-school) room, with a vinyl floor area to allow for messy play alongside a large carpeted area.
We have a commercial grade kitchen with the best Food Hygiene Rating of 5. Here we prepare the children's lunches, snacks and cooked tea from the basic ingredients. We do not buy in any pre-prepared pies, sauce mixes etc. Great care is taken in choosing ingredients, and for pre-baked items (bread, pasta, biscuits etc) the ingredients are constantly checked.
