Set in 6 acres of gardens, wildflower meadow and grass paddocks, Cropton Forest Lodge is 9 miles from Pickering, surrounded by forest and open farmland and abundant wildlife. Nature at its best!. In an idyllic setting in the North York Moors National Park nine miles from Pickering, our spacious cottages are quietly situated at the end of a private no through road, surrounded by open farmland, meadow, forest & moors.

The cottages are an ideal base for exploring moors, forest and coast and for the energetic, from the door off-road walks and cycle rides. We are on hand to ensure you have a wonderful holiday, advising places to go and things to do. Children of all ages are welcome. Parents, please see our children's policy.
Services
We are taking extra precautions to keep you, your family & friends safe. This will mean a thorough deep clean after every check out; door handles, carpets, linens & pretty much anything you're able to touch! Hand sanitiser will also be available upon arrival and in the conservatory at all times.

All of our cottages have private Hot Tubs on enclosed decking, solid oak flooring, toasty log burners, a fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, dining area and private bathrooms. We have decking outside all of our cottages giving a seperate garden perfect for children & four legged friends to play outside safely.
We are fortunate to have many good pubs that we personally go to regularly and are happy to recommend, all in stunning locations between 20 and 30 minutes drive. Here is a selection of our favourites: We strongly suggest that you book in advance where possible as these pubs are popular and get booked up!

Very rural location, bit off the beaten track (literally), friendly, not intrusive staff. Well appointed terraced houses, spacious bedrooms with ensuites. Don't expect any pubs within staggering distance, this place is meant for quiet, solitude and all the better for it

Lovely place in the middle of Cropton Forest. Lots of wildlife all around. So relaxing, The cottages are fully stocked with everything you need, even bread and milk on arrival. We will be going back.

This place is absolutely amazing. Immaculate and everything thought of. Have stayed in two of the cottages and can't fault either. Tom, Jill and Bethany can't do enough. If you could give 10 stars I would.

Lovely cottage. This one had the hot tub, quite remote nearest local pub seemed to be closed down. Bethany very nice and pleasant to talk to. Remote in the sense a challenge to get to, recommend arrive whilst light.

Where do I even start? Within minutes of arriving, I wanted to live there! We stayed in Meadow's Edge; the cottage with a hot tub. Inside was a gorgeous joint living room and kitchen. Fire place and log burner were great; plenty of kindling and wood was available.
Upstairs were two beautifully furnished and spacious en-suite bedrooms. Beds were very comfy and I'm quite selective about my beds!
It's based in a very quiet area though is a short drive from local villages and pubs (highly recommend The New Inn).
Didn't see much of the staff however when we did see them they were lovely.
We will

I have stayed at Cropton Forest Lodge a few times and each time it has been amazing, breathtaking views/scenery, its remote enough to feel like you are a million miles away but also close to some very good local towns too. Highly recommend
