I was buying a property through Keatons. Few days before the exchange my solicitor discovered that the vendor has been issued section 20 and if I were to go ahead with the purchase, the cost of almost 90K will be my responsibility! I was pretty shocked, tried contacting the agent at Keatons whom had reassured me that there were not outstanding service charges unpaid and all the costs of existing repair works to the building have been accepted by the current owner. I’m a nurse and this agency especially Isabella bent over backwards to help accommodate our needs. This has been a new experience for me in London as agencies can sometimes be a bit dodgy. Searching for flats with Keil from Fyfe McDade was a very enjoyable experience. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the properties we visited. Absolutely horrendous. Avoid at all costs. This agency is completely incompetent and unethical. I doubt they even know what the word means. Repeatedly they refused to help us when things went wrong with the flat. Our water got shut off and it took them a week to fix. A week. That's honestly one of about 5 serious things. They wanted to keep a ridiculous portion of our deposit, and when we wrote them asking to be reasonable because we'd take it to arbitration, to reduce it and avoid unnecessary emails, phone calls, and meetings that come with that, they changed the disputed amount to the
