The Montessori Method of early education is a child-centred approach, its primary aim is to create a safe, happy, caring environment in which each child can learn and develop freely at individual pace. I'm very pleased with the nursery, I have a journey from New Barnet but really worth it! My son has learned so much as he enjoys coming here and his time wit his friends and teachers.
He always speaks about the theme on topic for the week and enjoys every single moment. Our daughter has excelled at Little Elms, she has developed relationships, a passion for learning and an empathy towards her peers. We have found all the teachers and key workers to be supportive and nurturing to any childhood events that we have needed support with.

Services
Little Elms has an excellent reputation with local schools, both state and independent, for giving our children good preparation to school life. We have access to the lovely grounds at the back of the centre as well as our own fully equipped private playground containing a wide range of age appropriate outdoor equipment.
The Early Years Foundation Stages begin from birth. Children aged between three and five are constantly encountering new experiences and seeking to understand them in order to extend their skills. The Early Years Foundation Stages outlines early learning goals which most children are expected to achieve by the end of their reception class year at school.
We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents/carers and settings work together in partnership. The children also really enjoy being involved. Over the last few years the PTA have done a fantastic job in helping the nursery raise valuable funds, enabling us to buy equipment and materials we may not have otherwise been able to buy.
Little Elms Montessori Nursery have been able to develop and provide Forestry to the children as part of our nursery curriculum. Forestry learning is seen as an important part of the curriculum at Little Elms Montessori Nursery, complementing the Montessori and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Our 'Learning without Limits' project is inspired by Forest Schools. We are constantly extending the outdoor learning to further develop children's full learning potentials and make the most of our extensive grounds. We inspire young minds, encourage curiosity and stimulate all senses in a way that indoor learning simply cannot do.
