Fully booked but i was only costumer... ok so i have ordered takeaway pizza meatballs with jalapeños... I get pizza what taste and look like frozen pizza from co-op .. really?? Meatballs taste like god knows how old them are and only 2 slices of jalapeños ... and all of that for £14 don't bother going there you will be better get some frozen pizza from co-op

If it’s a sunny day on Islay then there are two things you should do (on the other days when it’s raining make the most of the distilleries of course!).
One is to eat the smoked mussel and brandan rost (hot smoked salmon) pizza. I add the salty hit of anchovies to this. Sitting on the small back terrace to Peatzeria, looking out over the bay at Bowmore is a heavenly experience.
The other is to walk off the over indulgence of the pizza with beach walk at the stunning Machir bay.

We visited Peatzeria as part of a weekend on Islay and Jura. Sharon the manager was really friendly and accommodating when we asked to move our booking 2 hours to spend longer in the beach. This was not an issue despite it being a Saturday evening. The pizzas were absolutely amazing and service really good. We were lucky to have a seat outside, where you could imagine seeing seals and the likes popping up now and again. Plenty of outside seating too

The pizza was incredible and the atmosphere was great. I had a bit of trouble hearing the server because a kid's birthday party was going on at the next table (we realised after they left that the restaurant has music playing!), she was super understanding and friendly about it. We had the Italian sausage and salmon (_bradan_)/mussels pizzas, I hate we only had the one night there because if everything was that good...
The beer selection was limited but they have the range of Islay brewery and both the beer and water were COLD, perfect for the heat wave battering the island last week.

Cold and windy Islay but we were prepared to suffer for our lunch - no need - we ate in sheltered warm on the Peatzeria Terrace overlooking Loch Indaal. Service was welcoming and friendly - as if we were… returning regulars. Our grandson stole the hearts of the staff! The focaccia rusticana peatzzas were fab and well washed down with Islay Ales Finlaggan and Big Strand. Super meal really made our day and we felt the holiday spirit rising. Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Really nice and filling food. We all had there standard 12” Italian style crust pizza which was really good.
They do some non-standard pizzas as well, I had a black pudding + goat cheese pizza and this was amazingly good.
The Ambiente feels modern and warm, especially nice if You want a change from the classic Scottish ambient most pubs and restaurants go for in Islay.

Wow, just amazing! The pizza was surprisingly delicious. Let's be real, I wasn't surprised at the quality of ingredients but rather surprised at the way the pizza was made. It was absolutely superb! The ladies working that night were also so accommodating and so friendly (but not a surprise since everyone at Islay has been so wonderful).
Ok, on to real business. The sticky toffee pudding was like nothing I've ever had in my life. My husband and I had our own (on accident) but my goodness, that was one of the best accidents ever. I would eat that dessert every day of my life and

This nicely renovated restaurant cranks out some high quality eats with some very local ingredients. They offer black pudding and goat cheese pizza which seems to be their biggest hit but since this is Islay, we opted for the crab and mozzarella on focaccia and it was great. TONS of fresh, local crab meat.
They have a decent selection of wines and about 10 beer/cider choices to help wash down those carbs and crabs. Not too much whisky offered but finding a dram nearby is never a problem here and it's nice to take a reprieve.

Modern decor inside the original building in Bowmore. I liked the design and the mezzanine created inside. Upstairs has a more exclusive dining vibe and downstairs is more casual.
I ordered the black and red pizza which is goats cheese and black pudding. It was so damn good. I got on the ciabatta base and it's served on a chopping board. Everyone at my table enjoyed heir meal and. Service was very attentive.

Islay's Peatzeria is the new talk of the town as it has just started up in the past few months. I love it's trendy, hipster style and how it is casual and formal at the same time. It is a smart layout and I would definitely go back again. This is an old church, and it sticks to Islay's traditional black and white on it's outside, but inside it is vibrant with chic decorations and all things trendy. They have built a second level to the church as well as an outside modern patio, smokers lounge and an area with a pizza oven for takeaway pizzas to be cooked in. I love this because
