Topsail Insurance was launched in 1996 and since then has provided specialist Marine Insurance products to the sailing community. Topsail provide cover to vessels cruising in UK and European Waters, as well providing cover for long distance passages and blue water cruising.
We are recommended by the Ocean Cruising Club, offering members discount, and also run a price match scheme for members of the Cruising Association (available with certain insurers).We also offer our specialist Yachtsman's Travel Insurance products to the World Cruising Club rally participants.

An excess or deductible is the amount you have to pay in the event that you wish to make a claim on your boat insurance policy. If the loss is less than the amount of the excess, then you must meet the cost of your claim. You may have the opportunity to purchase Excess Waiver Cover for an additional premium on your Topsail insurance policy.

Our flexible policies are designed to suit the needs of the sailing community, including circumnavigations and offshore cruising. For over 20 years Topsail Insurance has provided boat insurance policies that cover a wide range of vessels, ships and craft. There is an insurance policy to suit your motorboat, yacht, sailing dinghy, river boat, small day boat and more.
Your motorboat policy will be issued on an agreed value basis, so in the event of a total loss claim you will be paid out what you insured the vessel for. We offer up to 5 million Third Party Liability cover, up to 25% No Claims Bonus (with some insurers offering the option to protect this) and the option of excess waiver cover on certain policies, meaning you will not pay an excess in the event of a claim.
