Breathe in a lungful of fresh sea air and you'll immediately start to feel relaxed. Pull up outside the light pink 17th-century building and discover that what was once a coaching inn is now The Mariners Hotel, a boutique luxury hotel, offering a relaxing refuge from the stresses of daily life.

The Mariners is a place to kick back and relax. Whether you're a family here with your children, a couple looking for a getaway or travelling with man's best friend. We like dogs too. Our rooms are completely individual, retaining the charm of the 17th Century building, decorated in a tradional English Seaside style with low ceilings and original beams.
Our rooms are completely individual, retaining the charm of the 17th Century building, decorated in a traditional English Seaside style with beamed ceilings and crackling fireplaces. Many rooms have views across the bay and out to sea, others have partial sea views or are rear aspect. Some are dog friendly, while others are large enough for all the family, but in every room you will be in no doubt about your coastal location.
There are several beaches in Lyme, all a little different, with different activities to do. To the west is a pebbly beach great for practising stone skimming, in the centre is the main sandy beach where you can get building sandcastles, while over to the east is the fossil hunting beach. You can arrange a fossil hunting tour, to improve your chances of finding one.
Your dog is a member of your family, and we're big dog lovers here at the Mariners. We want to ensure that everyone has a wonderful stay. We have a variety of rooms that are dog friendly, including sea view. They are charged at 10 per night for the first dog and 5 per night for an additional dog. Guests are only permitted to bring a maximum of two dogs per room and dog food is not provided.
