At Rayne Primary and Nursery School, we are very proud of our children and everything that they achieve. We strongly believe that Primary Education is significant, it provides the foundation for children and we feel very privileged to be working with the families and community to shape our young people for the future.
The children are the most important people within the school and we strive to ensure that their time with us is both productive and happy. We work hard to develop each child so that during their time with us they become confident individuals who are ready for the next stage in their learning. Our aim is high quality education and our school is well placed in the heart of Rayne community to provide this.

We aim to enable all our pupils to leave Rayne enjoying sport and with the knowledge to happily pursue any activities further whilst understanding the benefits not only on their health but socially as well. Here at Rayne we believe that PE is a huge contributor to the health, well-being and education of our children.

At Rayne Primary School we encourage every child to consider those less fortunate than ourselves. The pupils are encouraged to suggest causes to support through the school council as well as to take on responsibility for the organising and running of fundraising events. Children are also encouraged to get involved with fundraising for Rayne School PSA via our school fetes and activities such as The Smarties Chores Challenge.
The Chelmsford Teaching Schools Alliance (CTSA) is a partnership of 16 Primary, 8 Secondary, Anglian Ruskin University and one special school based in and around Chelmsford. The CTSA, is led by Newlands Spring Primary School, it believes that all children have a right to experience an inspirational and creative learning environment planned to enhance learning.

A fantastic school. My daughter has been incredibly happy there so far and this is down to the wonderful staff at Rayne. Transitions have been smooth and considerate and the leadership team are very open to feedback from the parents and the children!! My daughter feels safe, secure and happy there and she has been progressing fantastically academically. What else there to say!? Well done Rayne School!

In the last few years the school has gone from being one of the most sort after schools in Essex to now one of the schools parents are trying to avoid ,they have no sense of right and wrong it's their way or no way they spend money on stuff the staff want for school and not kids ie changing a 6ft front fence to an 8 ft fence when the rest of the perimeter is a small 3ft fence ,they send letters out no one receives they send trip letters out with usual pay by dates etc instead of waiting for that date they send another letter asking if your kids are going then cancel it a few days later because

Was a great school, for a head teacher to have to seek there advice from other head teacher speaks volumes. Rather than getting to the bottom of issues you are just told they are doing everything they can to cover the school... What about the children they are failing.. i think that our MPs need to step in and protect these children..
