Services
Experiences: Nicola has worked in children services for over 30 years as a teacher, head teacher, Ofsted Inspector, Advisor and Early Years Trainer. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in Early Years Education. Responsibilities: Nicola is passionate about children having the best start in life particularly in developing communication, social skills and self-confidence.
Children learn through a balance of adult led (where the adult plans the activity) and child initiated play (where they choose for themselves). At Shine Nursery we call adult led - 'playful teaching' and child led we call - 'teaching through play'. When adults plan the activity they ensure that it is fun, stimulating and playful.
It offers care and early learning to children from birth to 4 years old. The managing director is an Early Years professional and aspires to have outstanding practice from the start for all children at the nursery and their families, through a commitment to staff training and development and by having the best environment and resources to stimulate fun, learning and creativity.
