Our shared goal is that each child discovers the enjoyment of learning, gaining the confidence to reach their full potential.

It is important to us that our children become resilient, resourceful and reflective independent learners. To achieve this they are encouraged to solve problems, develop good communication skills and work as part of a team. Cecil Road is a happy, secure and inclusive school in which everyone is valued and respected. We nurture the child's creativity and individuality whilst maintaining high aspirations for all. Our shared goal is that each child discovers the enjoyment of learning, gaining the confidence to reach their full potential.
At Cecil Road Primary School we believe in a creative curriculum that develops the whole child as an independent, confident learner who is resilient and not afraid of making mistakes. Throughout school life we work together in a respectful and cooperative partnership and develop a culture that is driven by our 5 Core Values.
The Wellbeing Team are reliable, approachable, non-judgemental and support pupils, parents, carers and staff. At Cecil Road Primary & Nursery School we recognise that a child's emotional health and wellbeing influences their cognitive development and learning, as well as their physical and social health and their mental wellbeing in adulthood.
Forms should be submitted into the school with a copy of your child's birth certificate. Forms should be submitted for the September intake by Mid March before the academic year required. Cecil Road Primary and Nursery School offers 15 hours free childcare places and some 30 hours free childcare places but these are limited.
We are all passionate about the success of the school and our aim is to ensure that every child is given the best education. We believe that this can be achieved by increasing children's knowledge, improving their skills and helping to develop their personal attitudes and values.

The governors work extremely closely with the school and regularly monitor and challenge the work of the leadership team to ensure that every child's learning and life experiences are enriched and enhanced. At Cecil Road Primary and Nursery School, all governors put the needs of the children at the heart of all decision making.

I went to that school a year ago it was nice but this girl drank from my water bottle on purpose, I told the teacher about it and he did absloutley nothing about it I mean, I'm sure if I did this I would've got into trouble. I think this school needs to learn some equality for once!

Landed here randomly but... why is there a man with his face blurred out loitering around outside this school? It's like something out of BrassEye...

It was a long time ago from what I can remember the little swimming pool had just been installed so that must have been early 60 's . I did enjoy my time there and then on to colliery road school. Then joined the navy.
