The first four years are the most critical in shaping the brains architecture and have a direct impact on how children develop learning skills. Our children learn more in the first five years of their lives than any other time in their life. Little Cubs understand the importance of providing quality early years care for all children.
Our mission is to not only provide the best facilities in Nursery and Pre- school Education but to raise the standards of practice offered to ensure the sustained well being of each child through innovative and progressive early years learning environments.

Services
Fabulous attendance of parents/cares and family today! Totally amazing Easter Bonnets. We at Little Cubs have a genuine commitment to work cooperatively with parents/carers and this impacts on every aspect of practice. Today the children are looking forward to the Easter Bonnet Parade. We can't wait to see the fabulous bonnets made by the children (with a little help!) and hope that everyone has enjoyed the process.
Free Flow Play - This allows children to independently choose to move between the different environments promoting greater independence and allowing them to progress at their own pace. Practitioners provide an enabling environment. They scaffold and extend play by being responsive to each child's needs, strengths and interests.
At Little Cubs we have three experienced SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) with a wealth of knowledge. I have over 20 years of experience and work in partnership with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. Children with special educational needs all have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age.
The Importance of Home Language - Bilingualism is an asset, and the first language has a continuing and significant role in identity, learning and the acquisition of additional languages. We at Little Cubs understand that bilingualism confers intellectual advantages and the role of the first language in the child's learning is of great importance.
Little Cubs are flexible with our hours and will do our best to suit your individual needs and we reserves the right to charge for late picks ups at a rate of 10 every 15 minutes or part thereof, whether or not the child is in receipt of Free Early Education for 2, 3 & 4 yr olds. If you are eligible, 30 hours is available for 38 weeks of the year (just like the existing 15 hours scheme).

My daughter attends Little Cubs childcare and I couldn't be happier with the care provided.
Natasha has a wealth of experience in working with children and is very passionate about providing the best care she can. She is professional, caring and nurturing. She is also very thoughtful and often goes the extra mile to make the children (and their parents) very happy.
The facilities are amazing, sparkling clean, safe and most importantly full of fun. The log cabin and garden are fantastic areas for the children to play and there is so much for them to do.
Natasha has been very flexible and accommodating

My son has just left Little cubs Palmarsh as he starts school in September. He has been going there for almost 2 years (he started with it was still First steps) and has loved it! The staff are amazing, and have made him feel happy and secure, as well as encouraging him to learn through play. To me they have been friendly and generous with their… time, their love for their jobs and the children they look after shines through and they are always cheerful and welcoming. I have never once doubted that my son was in good hands, and have always felt supported in my parenting choices, even when
