Thank you for visiting our website at The Moorings Restaurant, on the beach in Pevensey Bay. The picture above taken as the evening draws in, diners enjoying a meal while looking out to sea. We are a traditional english restaurant serving good quality food at realistic prices so you can enjoy an evening out with friends in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with stunning sea views.
We had a fab night, the food was superb, the staff first class, we will be back, don't forget to keep the Sambuca out of the kitchen. This was the third visit we have had to the moorings in as many months. We have never had a bad meal here, very accommodating staff and a warm and friendly atmosphere to all age groups.

I was expecting a bit more from this place. It is more of a cafe than a restaurant. The whole experience is a bit like a budget hotel dinning room. It’s very light, without much character. The food is ok, but not the best, a bit massed produced. Service is good and polite. Everything just seemed a bit rushed through the process.

Decided to go here on the recommendation of friends.
Place has a good location right on the seafront, with nice views into the English Channel. We went late afternoom and as our table was by the window we were treated to a lovely sunset as well.
The deal is excellent, 3 course for £8 is superb value for money. The place was about half full. Order was taken quickly and although the waitress was friendly, it was definitely a "get business done" transaction. Food came quickly. It was an £8 fish and chips deal and the food is best described as basic. Portions were good, but there is no attempt

Really nice restaurant very clean with attentive staff, food came quickly and was nice and hot, plenty of cutlery with sharp knives for the meat, the deserts were good and hot.
Whan asked for a glass of ice water was plesantly surprised with a glass jug full of water & ice with slices of lemon, plenty of high chairs for kids and a wheelchair accessible entrance from large car park directly in front of restaurant.
Quite a lot of tables have ocean views so don't forget to ask when making reservations.
